Ende Januar zogen Kyrill und Lancelot über uns hinweg, Primelchen machte mal wieder "Urlaub", ansonsten verlief der Januar wie jedes Jahr: ruhig. Aber dann kam mit den Stürmen der Schnee.
By the end of January the two storms Kyrill and Lancelot passed us, Primelchen stayed for a "vacation" but otherwise it was like the last few years: a quiet month. But later with the storms snow came back.

Ende Februar fuhren wir gen Norden: Melanie, Jamie und die Ostsee besuchen und zur Ausstellung in Buchholz. Casper fand seine erste Liebe: Jamie

kam eine kleine Gracie (Grace von der Rohrbachau). Ihre Mutter war gestorben als der Wurf genrade mal 8 Wochen alt war und da ihre Züchterin genug Probleme hatte, kam Gracie zu uns.
there was Gracie (Grace von der Rohrbachau). Her mother died when the puppies were 8 weeks old and as her breeder had enough on her mind, Gracie moved in with us.

Chocolate war die ideale Nanny. Er hatte schlußendlich 6 Monate Zeit, Gracie all die wichtigen Dinge des Lebens bei zu bringen, die ein kleiner Beardie für ein glückliches Leben braucht. Und er hat sich vom ersten Tag an bemüht!
Chocolate was the ideal Nanny. In the end he had 6 months to teach Gracie all the necessary things a little Beardie needs for a happy life. And he did start teaching on their very first day.

Gracie wuchs und wuchs und Baghira fand sie nur schrecklich...

Sie traf ihre Großelter , Jill (Moonhill Philemon's Dream) und Sam (Moonhill Philemon's Choice), als wir auf dem Weg nach Erfurt bei den Philemons Halt machten. Dass dies eines der letzten Fotos von Sam werden sollte, wußte ich damals noch nicht. Ein wirklicher alter Gentleman

Bodensee - Lake Constance

10.06.2007 Ich habe die Neuzüchterprüfung abgelegt, nun heißt es nur noch warten, bis mein Zwingername geschützt ist. Wenn alles klappt werden wir nun ganz offiziell "Bradiba's"
I passed the breeders exam. Now we only need to wait for my kennel name to be accepted by the FCI. If all works out, we will officially be known as "Bradiba's"

Ende Juni bekam ich ein neues Auto, das wir auf meine Ansprüche umgebaut haben: Boxen für die Hunde und über den Boxen ein Bett für mich.
End of June I got a new car. We arranged the inside according to my needs: crates for the dogs and on top of the crates a bed for me.

Im Juli waren wir viel schwimmen, sei es am Baggersee in Pfohren oder auch am Bodensee.
During July we went swimming a lot. Either at the lake here in Pfohren or we went to Lake Constance

und noch ein Ausflug an den Bodensee... da braucht man keinen Urlaub

Gracie ist 9 Monate alt und nun schon 5 Monate bei uns. Wie Kerstin immer sagt, die hebt eher das Bein als dass sie läufig wird
Gracie is 9 months old and has been 5 months with us. As Kerstin always put it, she'll rather start lifting her hind leg then getting into season.

Wenn sie sich nicht auf Ausstellungen benehmen müssen, findet man Chocolate und Gracie immer zusammen mit einem der vielen Ikea Stofftiere die Chocolate gehören.
If they don't have to behave properly, once can find Gracie and Chocolate playing together. Most of the time with one of the many IKEA toys Chocolate owns.

Und wieder einmal ging es gen Norden. Dies war unsere letzte gemeinsame Reise mit Gracie, Ende des Monats zog sie um zu ihrer Schwester und ihrerZüchterin. Aber davor durfte sie mit uns nach Rostock fahren.
And again we drove up north. This would be our last trip together with Gracie, at the end of the months she'd be moving back to her sister and her breeder. But first we went to Rostock

Nach der Ausstellung hatten wir noch einige Tage an der Ostsee, wir alle haben sie genossen. Rostock als Stadt hat uns sehr gut gefallen, ich denke es war nicht meine letzte Fahrt in diese Richtung!
After the show we had some really nice days at the sea, something all of us enjoyed a lot. Rostock is a very nice city and I don't think this was my last trip up north!

Es hat geklappt: die FCI hat den Namen "Bradiba's" akzeptiert. Nun ja, wer sollte sich diesen Namen denn schon geschützt haben?
It did work out. Now the FCI accepted my kennel name "Bradiba's". Well who should have entered this name before?

22.10.07 der erste Schnee des Winters, mein Gracie verlässt uns. Vergiß nicht alles was das Chocci Dir beigebracht hat, kleine Maus! Chocci wird all seine Fähigkeiten ab Dezember wieder einsetzen können, wenn Phil einziehen wird
First snow for the winter! And my Gracie will be leaving us. Try not to forget everything Chocolate tried to teach you, my little girl. Chocci will get another chance in December, when Phil will be moving in.

Es wird winterlich und wir bereiten alles für Phil vor. Es gab das eine oder andere neue IKEA Stofftier.....Chocolate überwacht die Vorbereitungen sehr genau.
